Acupuncture and herbal medicine for respiratory allergies

More than 15% of the Dutch population suffers from hay fever, an allergic reaction to pollen in which the immune system overreacts to what is in principle a harmless substance. What can acupuncture and herbal medicine do for you?

Within Traditional Chinese Medicine, allergic rhinitis is not treated as an isolated symptom, but as an expression of an underlying imbalance. Often in the lung network, the immune system (Wei Qi) or the digestion. By addressing both the complaints and the underlying cause, we aim for a lasting result.

In most cases the complaints are strongly reduced or have disappeared after two weeks of treatment. This is followed by a few follow-up treatments to consolidate the result, so that you can get through the season free of symptoms.

What you can expect:

How long the complaints stay away after a course of treatment varies from person to person. Some clients return each year for a maintenance session, others are free of it for several years or completely.

About the acupuncturist

Aron Ebbing trained as an acupuncturist at the “Qing Bai” academy for Chinese medicine in Amsterdam. His interest in acupuncture was sparked by his father, who ran a practice for homeopathy and acupuncture for twenty years and taught for ten years at what was then the academic day programme for naturopathy in Hilversum.

Aron also completed a training in Chinese herbal medicine at the “Qing Bai” academy.

During his training he did a weekly internship for 5 years with Jianmin Sun and Charlotte Johanns at the practice for Chinese medicine “Yu Yi Tang”, where some twenty to forty patients are treated each day.
